about

Since its inception in 2010, Sexores has become one of the most stable formations on the Latin American circuit. Bordering on dreampop and experimentation, they build a sophisticated sound based on programming, the use of analog synthesizers and the walls of guitars that are exploited throughout their 6 studio works and their tireless tour of festivals and venues all over the world.

After a 3-year hiatus, Sexores present 'Mar del Sur', a small album of 6 songs released through Buh Records that, between dance-rock and dark wave, soundtracks the band's journey through South America and builds a narrative that dialogues with the knowledge and perceptions of our place of origin, a part of the South of the planet.

This work, in its entire concept, is an interstice full of metaphors that declare the band's love for a diverse territory, full of stories that expand the understanding of a world that is often too ethnocentric. With this brief collection of songs, Sexores release an invitation to fall in love with the South through the sound of the club and the noise of guitars.

For the recording of Mar del Sur, the duo has had special guests such as Rómulo Gallegos (trombone in Magallanes), Brenda Monge (trumpet in Las Aguas de los Bordes de Fuego), DRK (rap in Kichwa in Biolumínica), Esteban Agosin ( field recording in Magallanes). Mixed and mastered by Emilia Bahamonde Noriega. It is released on all digital platforms and a limited edition on cassette through Buh Records.
